Join in the 9/11 National Day of Service Meal Pack at the Curb Event Center at Belmont University! There are 100,000 meals to pack, and volunteers are needed! Volunteers must be 18+ years of age. The event goes from 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM on Monday, September 11, 2023 with setup for the event happening on Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
9/11 Day is the organization responsible for the establishment of the 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance. Its overarching mission is to rekindle the spirit of unity and service felt in the days following 9/11/01 on an annualized basis, transforming the day from one of tragedy into one of profound positive impact. Since 2016, 9/11 Day has run signature meal packing projects in major cities. In 2022, they successfully led in-person events in New York City, Boston, DC, Atlanta, St. Louis, Chicago, Phoenix, Dallas, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Minneapolis, packing nearly 3 million meals with the help of more than 7,000 volunteers nationwide. On Monday, 9/11/23, they will engage 10,000+ volunteers to pack and distribute more than 5 million meals across 17+ cities. We are excited to be a part of this great initiative.
