Dear Members of the Franklin Tennessee Stake,
We are pleased to announce that a Stake Temple Day will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023. This will be a special day for the whole family.
We will host activities at the stake center for primary age children from 11 AM to 3 PM. Wards will organize times throughout the day for youth and others who hold limited use recommends to participate in baptisms and confirmations. Endowed members may participate in endowment sessions, initatories, and sealings. We hope to fill the temple all day with people from our stake doing work for their ancestors.
We encourage all members to be worthy of a temple recommend and to obtain one before this day. We believe that the temple is a sacred place where we can connect with our Heavenly Father and receive blessings from Him. If you do not currently hold a recommend for the temple, we invite you to evaluate if there is anything in your life that would keep you from this great opportunity. There truly is nothing in this life worth the cost of keeping us from the House of the Lord!
In the words of President Russell M. Nelson, "The temple lies at the center of strengthening our faith and spiritual fortitude because the Savior and His doctrine are the very heart of the temple. Everything taught in the temple, through instruction and through the Spirit, increases our understanding of Jesus Christ. His essential ordinances bind us to Him through sacred priesthood covenants. Then, as we keep our covenants, He endows us with His healing, strengthening power. And oh, how we will need His power in the days ahead."
